"New to You" build a bear workshop and Teddy Bear's picnic
time and location
about the event
Our first ever children's event takes place during the Easter holidays, and is a fun way of exploring the reduce, reuse, recycle mantra with your child. As any parent knows, buying brand new toys can be expensive, and sometimes wasteful as kids move on so quickly to the next "new" thing. But we want them to get excited by the "new to you" idea! Just because something is pre-loved, doesn't mean it can't still bring joy.
Welcome to our "New to You" Build a Bear workshop and Teddy Bear's Picnic!
We have been collecting some lovely (and loved) teddy bears looking for new homes. To get them ready for their new adventure they have been washed, and had their stuffing removed, ready to be plumped up and made good again for their new owner.
Upon arrival your little ones will sit down and meet our very own Teddy, Zero, and listen to a bear themed story, before going and choosing their new bear. With the help of a parent, each child will write a special wish on a paper heart to be placed inside the bear, and we will then give new life to each bear by filling them with stuffing. Once full, we will sew them up and get ready for their naming ceremony and Teddy Bear's Picnic! Each child will receive a birth certificate for their bear to take home.
As well as the bear workshop, snacks and drinks are provided during the session, and once all bears are complete a picnic will be provided. We require your child's menu choice upon booking, please choose from the following (they are a separate (free) ticket choice):
Plain cheese sandwich
Cheese and cucumber sandwich
Hummus and cucumber sandwich
Egg mayonnaise sandwich
Gluten and Dairy Free options available.
Snacks provided: carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes, crisps. A vegan fairy cake and fruit will be provided for dessert.
Adults are welcome to purchase food and drinks from our cafe.
This event is open to all ages, but is most suited to ages 2-7 as a guide. Siblings welcome but will require a ticket if they wish to join in the workshop and picnic.
