2022 is a new year with promise, and we want to encourage some new sustainable habits for you to try when it comes to your fashion buying choices.
Join us for a workshop cum swap shop as we discover what it means to ditch fast fashion in favour of slow and sustainable fashion. The evening begins with a glass of wine and a pledge to step outside your comfort zone for the night and discover new ways to shop!
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Fast fashion accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions, not to mention the trillion tonnes of water wastage and actual clothing that is thrown away. Consumers have become used to buying cheap, throwaway clothing and designs that are not built to last or designed for one season or trend, resulting in bulging wardrobes full of items that are sometimes worn maybe once or twice, or sometimes not at all!
Something has to change, and it is up to us as individual consumers to change our shopping habits and halt the rollercoaster of fast fashion before we race into environmental oblivion.
Sound dramatic? That's because it is! However, we are here to show what it is to shop truly sustainably.
